[HELP] Stage Expansion - Updating from 12 to 16 additional stages

So I ended up not liking how the 12+ stage expansion template does not get added to the random selection; I don't like seeing stages get neglected.
I've decided to move to the 16+ template version so I won't have to worry about that, BUT....
Is it possible to upgrade without losing any data at all, or for that matter, salvage as much as possible? I would really like to update my build but I'm scared from having to start from scratch.

The only things you would have to redo are any edits to the stage select screen or your gct file.
