Hi, I am new to this forum, so i literally don't know if I am allowed to post here. But i have a problem.

I've always wonder what would Brawl look like with Smash 4's textures. And i came across this.
http://smashboards.com/threads/the-smash-3-project-not-working-with-3-5.340807/

There's method to do it on the Wii but that's it. I am currently away so i couldn't do it with my Wii.

I have tried extracting the disc files with Dolphin and replacing the existing files with the Smash 3 ones then repackaging it together to iso. But the iso won't open.

If anyone has wondered the same or know the solution could you please guide me through?

I've tried doing instruction in this video on Youtube too.

THANKS. x)

For extracting and rebuilding Wii ISOs you need Wiimm's ISO Tools (aka WIT): http://wit.wiimm.de/

Run the extraction command:
Code:
wit copy RSBE01.iso RSBE01 --fst
Replace the files as desired;

then rebuild the ISO:
Code:
wit copy RSBE01 RSBE01_smash3.iso

Sorry for bugging you again, but i have 0 knowledge on this. I've obtained WIT with the link you provided, thanks btw. The CMD part is where it got confusing for me. I am suppose to do it in CMD right? If so, where should i place the iso as i'vs tried placing it within the WIT folder and desktop. Or do i have to type in command to locate it?
Also, What are all the programs that came with it, how do i use it :( (MakeKeyBin.exe, partitionbuilder.exe, WiiPartitionBinChanger.exe and WIIScrubber.exe)

It would be nice if you can guide me through step by step as if I am a caveman. lol

Many Thanks. :)

Where did all of those programs come from? You shouldn't have any of those if you downloaded the correct file, nor are they necessary for anything.

Assuming you're on Windows, you just download this ZIP file, unpack it, and run the installer.

Then, open a command prompt in the folder with your ISO (Shift + right click in the folder with the ISO, and choose "open command window here"), and run those commands I listed.

Run the extraction command:
Code:
wit copy RSBE01.iso RSBE01 --fst
Replace the files as desired;

then rebuild the ISO:
Code:
wit copy RSBE01 RSBE01_smash3.iso

Did you reboot after installing?
haha Thanks i've got it extracted. For some reason the extracted folder (7.05gb) is smaller than the ISO(7.92gb) itself. But it has been stuck there for a few hours so i assumed is fully extracted, the cmd windows didn't show anything saying is 100%.
When I am rebuilding the ISO do I have to keep the original ISO in the folder? I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks ;)

The extracted folder being smaller is to be expected, since ISOs contain lots of empty space that disappears if you compress/extract them.

If the command prompt goes back to the folder (C:\Users\____\Desktop\wit\>), and you can type in it again, the current command has finished. Also, you can add --v to the command, which will enable verbose mode (it outputs information on completion, ETA, etc.).

After the ISO is extracted, it doesn't matter what you do with the original. You may want to move it to a different folder, to keep as a backup.
