Help regarding model editing

Not an ideal first post...

Anyway, I would've tried to figure this all out, for myself, but, I really need some help, here. Especially since I'm getting less and less computer time, now that I need to get a job.

Life aside, I'm still pretty new to Brawl hacking, so there's much I don't know.

But, I managed to learn about texture editing and polygon removal. But I just need to ask of 2 things.

1. If it's possible to add (or completely change existing) polygons, then how would I go about putting hair like: (maybe use Marth's hair polygons or something)

Onto this:

2. Can voice clips be replaced? If so, could you point me in the direction of a tutorial or talk me through it, as I'd love to voice act for my own character.

I would greatly appreciate help. I'm fairly adept with 3D models and have hex-edited many times before (for other games, though, such as Resident Evil 4 PC version).

I've already made some custom animations for my character, Jack. (most of the animations are inspired by Wesker from Resident Evil 5.)

1. No, you cannot add polygons. You can, however, use vertice editing, but you cannot add or delete vertices with it. Use DasDonkey VertexBox to create a 3ds file which you can edit vertices with (sadly, you cannot see the polygons when you edit them, just the vertices). You can find this on the Smash Workshop General Forum (it might be on the second page of threads).

2. Yes, check this forum. There should be a thread about it (though it may not be on this page).

Rather than make a new thread, I decided to ask in this one.

I'm in the process of animating Wesker from Resident Evil, into Brawl. I got the model in. But regarding animations that move the character forward/backward. It doesn't seem to work.

I renamed the parent bone before the start of his main moving bones to TransN. But when I use that bone, during animations, it doesn't work.

It just makes him move forward during the animation, but as soon as it's done, he reverts to his original spot.

No doubt, I've done something stupid, or the solution is something that could've been figured out, with enough thought (that's usually the case, isn't it, when you're working on something. :p).
