Help On Hacking

Okay, im new to texture hacking and moveset hacking but i know there might be a topic somewhere in the forum about this i need help and i couldnt find one

1.I want to add a texture and a moveset but then do i need to add a number at the end of the moveset? or how can you confirm what file is a moveset or not because i heard movesets are .pac but the ones i download (ex:zero) it comes with fitlink01.pac, fitlink01.pcs, fitlinkmotionetc.pac and fitlink.pac how do i add them, why do i get 4 files instead of 1? its confusing, plus whats a montion etc what do we do with them add numbers to the end? will the moveset be for all textures or only one?

please help ive been search and i cant seem to find any guides or tutorials if you can please help, much will be appreciated thanks : )

No, you don't need numbers for the moveset. It affects all slots. "FitLink01" (for example) is the texture you will use on that character. .pcs is for multiplayer and .pac is for single-player. The MotionEtc.pac is the character's animation files. It has animations for how the player moves when they attack or move. You don't put any numbers at the end of it. It will affect all slots.

thank you sooo much ive been waiting 2 days for someone to answer :) and i was wondering if you have ssbb on a external harddrive, will the hacking work with that or do you have to have a actually burnt copy or real game to be able to hack it. been then then why does it come with another fitlink.pac with no number?

I have Brawl on a USB. Codes will work. If you've created a WBFS partition for your game, you can load it through the USB loader of your choice. If you want covers, use Configurable USB Loader. If you want things simple, use Neogamma. The gameconfig.txt will work for both of these (as long as you get the newest version of Configurable USB Loader). Configurable USB Loader is better because you don't have to move the .gct code file to the folder Neogamma needs it in.

As for the moveset w/o numbers, that's how programmers made it. I'm guessing so that it doesn't interfere with the costume names.

i heard that you could loud ntfs hdd now for the usb configurable loader now so that means no more splitting right?answer if you know the answer please. i was wonder how do you open the .gct or texture hack with a usb loader so that you can texture hack? and if so what program do you use to split isos to make them .wbfs to put in fat32 hdd? or is your hdd a wbfs partition?or do you think i should format it to a ntfs? sorry for the double post and does the texture hack/moveset hack/character custom screen hack/menu hack have all different codes? what are they? If anyone could answer that would be appreciated thanks : ) and if you could tell me how do you change the pic of the character so it shows the custom one not deafult
