Help me choose my doubles character?

I literally just made my account so if i post this in the wrong area, PLEASE let me know.

Im entering my first doubles tournament on saturday. My partner mains Donkey Kong and will be playing him in the tourney. I main Luigi but for some reason am thinking he will not be so good in doubles. So im thinking of who i should play with. My secondary characters include Rosa, Sonic, Pit and Donkey Kong. Who would be a good match for DK? Thanx for any and all help.

Luigi has that firepunch up-b tho, that's an awesome move to have in doubles. Specially if DK grabs an opponent with his big hands, you can walk up and Up-B.
