Help! I can't get downloaded characters like Naruto, Mewtwo, and Geno to work!

I looked through the FAQs here, but the closest thing I could find was a texture tutorial.

I have that file patch code in my RSBE01 codelist, and the downloaded characters pec. file in the right spot, but nothing happens!

Do I need more codes?
Do I need to rename the file?
Is it bad if the original .pec file was overwritten? (I kept the original as a backup on my hard drive.)
How do I get the Alloys on the select screen?


EDIT- Nevermind, I fixed it.

the character textures go in private\wii\app\rsbe\pf\fighter\FIGHTERNAME. if you have that then try getting a new gecko version. if you have that try changing the character color. on geno you have to be blue toonlink.
