Help - I can never knock anyone out

So I have no trouble racking up damage using Samus, but I can never seem to hit someone far enough to die. Even when using the smash attacks, no one seems to die until they are at 150%-180%...Any tips on what I should do?

Honestly, that's kinda the way the game's gone. You can try being adventurous and go off-stage with people like Hylian does, but you have to be pretty sure of your ability to either dair or bair them. Watch a few of the Hylian vs. Hugs videos if you want to see what I mean. Other than that, Dtilt and bair are probably your best killing moves, followed by the charge beam, though they aren't as reliable as the Melee kill moves.

Chargeshot is still a good kill move. If you're close to the edge it can kill at lower percents.

it feels broken. Cause the heavy characters every move is a smash and they can kill at low percentages. IT IS A JOKE NOW. I don't understand this at all anymore. It's so frustrating I want to scream. I will school a heavy character just for them to get one lucky hit and i'm off the map.

dtilt, utilt, bair, dair, fsmash (if you can land it). These all work pretty reliably for me. Charge beam is also effective although it takes longer and is harder to hit with.

a good strategy with samus is to remember decay and save your charge shots for KO. you can rack up lots of damage just using missiles and combos, then set up your charge shot with a zair or a missile.

im not a samus main but what i usually do is try to spam the zairs

short hop ziar. Di then do another one that should hit them or maybe they will block.

instead try to shoot a charge shot intead of that second zair it may take out a few casual players.
Or you can just Short hop Zair into a charge shot, that can work too or a up air into a charge shot.


also i try not to charge my shot up all the way. cause people are just going to be waiting for you to shoot it. i try to charge it up just before you start to make it obvious.
but if your strictly going for the kill charge it all the way and try to combo them into it
