I have an SD card with all the extracted files on it plugged into my Wii. I have no stages on stage builder, but when I go on to it nothing happens. What am I doing wrong here?

So does the SD card have to be named project m? because it's not. I followed all of those before asking and none helped.

I've checked everything on that imgur, and none of that is wrong. However I noted that there is no version of Gecko on my SD. I used the installer from http://projectmgame.com/en/download. Although my folder contents seem to match yours I can only presume that in one of your subfolders you have a version of Gecko. Is this true?

I'm presuming the boot.elf is Gecko OS, so I wouldn't worry about that. Are you sure you have no custom stages on your Stage Builder? Not even the three ones that come with Brawl? Double check just to be sure. Otherwise, make sure you don't rename anything, make sure you have everything on the root of the SD card (the Installer should have done that for you, so if so, don't worry about this), and don't name the SD card 'Project M' or something similar.

check what format the card is... you do that by right clicking the card and clicking properties... if it isn't FAT32 then right click the card, click format and format it to FAT32...
also check how much space the computer says is on the card... if it says 3.7gb or something like that, then it's actually a mislabeled 4gb sdhc card and you will have to get a new card...

It is FAT32. As far as the card goes, it is SDHC...but only 2 GB. It was manually repartitioned to be 2GB. Also, I have not modified any files and they are all in the root folder. All custom stages have been deleted as well, and the SD is just named "New Volume" or something along those lines so the name shouldn't be an issue.

Edit: It was 8GB before the repartition. When viewing it in the "properties" tab is says it only has 1.99GB now so it should read the same as a 2GB card to the wii I would think

Even if you make it only 2 GB, it's still an SDHC card and Brawl still won't be able to read it. You need just a 2 GB SD card.

So I managed to get my hands on a friend's 2GB SD card, which doesn't say SDHC on it, but it still does nothing when I get to the stage editor and says that there is no SD card in the menu. Are there any other possible explanations?

Check the format and make sure the SD Card is FAT32.

I have the exact same problem, every time I enter Stage Builder, it keeps loading and nothing happens, and it soft lock, as I can't go back or do anything else. I've verified the files and it has everything like the image shown

Edit: It worked when I changed the widescreen settings. Don't use 16:9, use 4:3 instead and it should work
