Help! Friend believes that Brawl is Better than Smash4!

Okay, so I have been arguing with someone who thinks Brawl is a better game (character balance, game play, competitive, etc...). He is VERY stubborn so I am going to need your help to give me LOTS of reasons why. Thanks!

But really, Smash 4 is much more balanced. The amount of competitively viable characters in brawl is nothing compared to Sm4sh.

Also your friend might have good reasons for liking Brawl more.

Not saying he's in a majority, most of us find 4 far superior, but that doesn't make him wrong for believing and feeling otherwise.

Subjective, but most people view Smash 4 as the superior game for a variety of reasons.

Brawl had tripping, its inferior character balancing rendered most of the cast not competitively viable, comboing was far more limited, and its slow pace was not well received by the competitive fighting game community.

He's...allowed to have his opinion.
But, anyways. Smash 4 is faster and contains more characters. Also can be actively balanced, unlike Brawl. I also believed it's more balanced, and is slightly more technical and more indepth.

Really though, he's entitled to his opinion. If he likes Brawl that much, I can't blame him. Honestly I like Brawl more simply for Sub-space, but that's just me. I do believe Smash 4 is a better game when it comes to the competitive play, but that's also my opinion. It's just like melee guys liking melee more than Smash 4, even if some may find 4 superior.

Oh. Well in that case it's not worth talking to them about Smash Bros.

Doesn't matter what game it is, if you're blindly only sticking to one game like that they're a waste of conversation time when it comes to discussing Smash.

Ignore him lmao. If he keeps trying to put down the other games just use noncommittal repsonses like "Okay." or even the slightly ruder but equally effective "no one cares"
