Help Downloading YouTube Videos

I've searched, couldn't find the problem I was looking for.
So I need the FLV Player to download certain YouTube videos, I downloaded it, and try to save the videos onto my comp. It won't let me save it as FLV, however, only as All File Types. And when it's all done downloading, I can't play it on any program.

Youtubex.com is where I download the YouTube videos.
In the making of a combo video, would like to get it done before the idea is taken

1. download the vid from the page o whatever way you like.
2. you have to edit the downloaded file for example: "get video" to "get video.flv"(this edit will let you watch the file in the player. also will give you the chance to encode to another media format.
3. then in my case i use a program called CinemaForge to Encode the vid to a Readable Media file like in AVI, MOV, WMV, Etc.
