Help-Custom PM Character Select Screen Not Working?

Hi! I'm 1Flow and i recently started modding my PM's character textures, stages, and music.. I decided thlast thing i wanted to mod was the character select screen. I went on Bbrawl vault (somehow lolz) and i found one for pm that i really liked. i was made by akiro, a famous youtuber. I put it on, and it worked until i tried to change my characters color. I then restarted my wii and did it without changing the color and it workjed??? Im kind a noob at this thing so can someone please help me?

thanks to all who help me. i know the problem has something to do with common5.pac... would i be allowed just to get rid of it totally or no? i dont want to downoad brawlbox since my computer says it has viruses

It sounds more like a problem with the character color than with the CSS. Does this happen when you try to change colors with ANY character, or only certain ones? Have you messed with any character portraits?

It's also entirely possible that it just isn't compatible with the current version of Project M since it seems to have been made for v3.02 and things have gotten moved around a lot since then.

This was made for an earlier version of Project M which is most likely why it's not working. Especially if all you did was just take this file and replaced the default one with it since newer versions of PM have changed and added new character costumes.

To fix this, you would have to manually export the background files and other changed textures and import them into 3.6's character select screen. And you will need BrawlBox in order to do that. Or you could try contacting the person who made the custom select screen and ask if they would be willing to make an updated version themselves.

I can assure you that BrawlBox does not contain viruses. That's most likely just your anti virus program assuming there are because of a lower number of people who have it.
