Okay, this has got to be one of the most annoying matchups... I need some assistance here.

Peach is a floaty, so uptilt combos are out of the question. On top of that, whenever I try to downsmash/tilt, the Peach always manages to throw in a downsmash. Getting hit by that while holding in down isn't very pretty! Also, I don't know how to edgeguard a floaty very well.

Advice would be appreciated, as would extra info.

Here' the Yoshi vs Peach thread from a while ago. Feel free to bump it and start up some new conversation. First, read through the info in there:

Yoshi vs Peach

Post your question there, and we'll be happy to help you (hell, we will probably help you in this thread, just cuz we're so nice!)

Of course we will, Bloshi. We're a nice bunch of folk.

The keys to Peach success consist of three things:

1)Turnips
2)Float Cancel
3)DownSmash o' Wreckage

1)I'd suggest simply shielding or dodging these. Use extreme caution against Doteyes (looks like he's high...), Winkin' Geezus (The winking one) and especially Stitchface (self explanatory). DO NOT catch them, this will only lock down your moves to simply throwing it, leaving you open for attack.

2)This helps her get the faster, higher priority attacks out of her arsenal at ground level. She'll probably expect you to strike first, so you could run in as though you were going to dash attack and pull of a SH nair. Link it with other moves and you've elminated half of her recovery already. If she approaches you backwards, be careful. That butt has more range than you know. It also goes through most of your attacks, so you could try the SH nair just like the forward approach or WD->Fsmash at close range if you read it right. Either way, use caution when dealing with float canceling. At lower %s, it can definitely lead directly to #3

3)Good gawd, this is your bane against Peach. Sure, she has priority over you in the air, but playing smart and take your opportunities will win you in the air. If she likes to stay on the ground, do your best to approach from the air when she's not expecting it. SHFFL'd nairs or SH bairs will help you here. Just make sure you either go from directly above her or if you're using something besides nair that you aim for her face, not her body. Otherwise, you'll get sucked into a vortex of pain.

If you do happen to get close to being Dsmashed, Try lightshielding. I'll be honest, I haven't tried it myself, but I would assume the first hit would fling you away from the others. Also, DI up, PLEASE....CC will basically lose the stock for you.

Peach likes to approach either way, but you can take advantage of an aerial Peach. Most characters who play in the air only like to be in the air on their terms. Eggs are decent until Peach realizes she can dair through them. Uair, bair, and nair work best here. Dair is risky to try from above, since her foot outranges your feet. Fair is useless against someone who can navigate freely through the skies. Also, dont underestimate the range of your Usmash. It hits where most people don't think it would (somewhat behind Yoshi).

Throw in an Egg Lay here and there to set up for aerial damage. Your best bet to kill Peach on most levels is vertical kills. She's a little light, so it works. That, and the float is close to useless that way =D

That's all I can think about right now. Anything else....I'll add, or feel free to ask!
