There are 2 CF players where I live that give me a lot of trouble.

They're both pretty jump-happy but they have different playstyles.

1. One loves to just run at me, jump in the air and attack me from there. I don't know whether my timing sucks or Falcon just has alot more priority but his attacks seem to go through mine. If I try to Upsmash him out of the air, I'll eat a Bair. If I try to meet him in the air, I'll just eat a knee, due to ICs subpar air game. I've recently started playing defensively, letting him come to me and it seems to work. Nanapult Blizzards work great on him(I try not to spam it though). Usually, getting a grab leads to either a crapload of damage or a stock so he knows to stay on the move and not get grabbed but I still occasionally score one.

2. This second one's a real pain. He loves throwing a wall of knees at me. Playing defensively kinda works but he is a VERY in your face player. Not to mention, he recently got the revelation that in order to avoid getting Chaingrabbed, he will chaingrab me(it works!). How am I supposed to DI? Up and away? Up and towards? Switch it up? I try to get nana to help me out of the CGs but since she is so close, the dead weight from me getting thrown hurts her too. I found that Ftilt kinda helps in this match-up a little and and OoS Blizzard desynch works too. Usually his CF will just run right into it, leading to a grab for me, leading to at least 80%. But still, I would like a faster way to desynch out of sheild. I also find that for some odd reason. Solo IC results in me playing better, albeit me not being able to do as much damage, seeing as Solo ICs have like NO COMBOS AT ALL. Any combos for a solo IC?

3. I also have trouble against a Pikachu. Usually, he'll Shfflafa and immediately downsmash. I usually switch to YLink or GaW for this match but I really wanna get better with ICs. Also, that Upsmash= X_X Usually, I'll blizzard grab since other, more traditional CGs don't work. Any chaingrabs that will work on Pika and any combos that will work for SOLO IC?

4. Samus.... : >_< I hate that *****. I have a friend that LOVES to CCDownsmash. Her Downsmash is so fast that it completely catches me by surprise and almost always seperates Nana and I. Just how do I fight a Samus period? >_<

I'll add more later. I don't wanna take up forum space by making a thread for each character.

if a CF likes going over you (stomp, bair), uair out of shield is your friend

if they just knee nonstop, figure out the timing/distance for a wdback->grab or dd->grab; knee doesn't have that much range

IC dash attack is super against CF; use it with other dash attacks, usmash, uair, etc. I've also had mild success with nair->grab, but i'm pretty sure it's not guaranteed or anything

not much experience with pikachu, but i know that regular dthrow (and consequently dthrow-dsmash) chain works at low->mid percents and i think dthrow-dair works (independent of smash DI of course)

samus - just shield the dsmash and wd out of shield to punish... plus, if she's CCing too much, GRAB HER

work on wobbling, if you grab them then you should be able to kill them. if nana is out of position to wobble and they would get out then you can try chain throwing with a down throw to nana dair if nana is anywhere near you.

I found shffled dair to occasionally lead into a grab but it is fairly situational. ie if you can hit them out of a shffl with it

work on wavedashing and spacing and grab anytime you can.
