Hi! My name is Dokokashira, but people like to call me Doko for short. You can call me whatever you like!
I'm a Smash for Wii U player and aspiring tournament player! My current goal as a smasher is to train for and attend the 2016 Winter Brawl in Philadelphia, and hopefully get a mid-to-high placement in Doubles. I've been playing on a more serious level for about two months from when I first got Smash for Wii U, but I've played casually since Melee. I joined Smashboards to go on the character forums and learn matchups and master technical skills and reads, which are the next obstacles in my training. I can't wait to learn more!
My mains are
and
, though Marth is more of a secondary. I main Dr. Mario because, well, he really clicks with me! He feels like a standard character to me, but he has enough different qualities to him, like his slower speed, that make him really interesting to play. (I also love the Dr. Tornado!) I picked up Marth to help me get a better grasp on spacing, edgeguarding, approaching, etc., and generally just play a unique character that seems to focus on more technical aspects. I always love those!
I'm new to competitive Smash, but not to competitive gaming. I've played competitive Pokémon for a really long time, about six years. My favorite Pokémon is
! One of the main reasons I started Smash was to see the differences between the two games' metagames for myself. In Pokémon, I mainly play with weird teams, like monotype teams with even further gimmicks, like a sun-based mono-Normal team! I can play Monotype seriously, and other tiers too, but I prefer to use weird teams since they provide me with a fun self-imposed challenge, and also because I'm kind of a hipster. Hehe.
Thanks for reading my introduction, and I hope I enjoy my time on Smashboards!
