Smash Apprentice
...Which is probably why this post is going to get buried pretty fast.
Maybe I should talk about the username.
My school has a (informal) smash club with meetups every other day.
Oh, you know, 9 - 10 people rotating out of whatever game there was playing that day.
When I was new to the game, I was actually pretty impressed by 3 people in the club.
One guy would edgehog and meteor smash everyone.
One guy would do crazy combo chains (0-90% if you can believe me)
The other guy avoided getting hit by the other two. His "evasive Jigglypuff" was notorious among our circle.
It was pretty intense when two of them were fighting.
These three inspired me to become a better player (smasher, as some might call it.)
Now about the username (finally!)
So I was choosing a name in one of these matches when I was the last to choose a name and everyone was bugging me to hurry up and choose a name.
I did, to their consternation.
Instead of choosing a funny name like "NAME", "WHEE", or "PWN" (I almost always got last
), it ended up being "LULZ".
I ended up winning that match. So began my relationship with the "LULZ".
So that's me!
I also solve puzzle cubes with a WCA ID of 2012LINJ01.
