Hey Smashboards! I'm Feverous, and I'm somewhat new to the Competitive Smash community. I've been playing Smash for about 6 years, and I've been playing it competitively for the past 2.
While the game that I play competitively the most is Melee, I do dabble in all three of the games competitively. In Smash64, my main character is Captain Falcon, simply because he is quick, and the strength and combos that go with him are quite scary. In my main game, Melee, my main character is Marth, because once you have mastered the different things that he is capable of, he is an extreme aerial threat. I also love using Falco and Sheik, as they are extremely quick and can put pressure on opponents with ease. In Brawl, my least favorite of the three games, my main is Meta Knight, because he is the only character who can make Brawl's slow pace seem more quick, like Melee.
I got into the competitive Smash Community when I won a Melee tournament at my local Library. I had been playing casually for some years, and decided to ride my instincts through the tournament. After my victory, I began to wonder, how good was I compared to other people? I went to a local Comic Store Tournament, where about 12 people showed up. In the first match, I was thrashed. After seeing where I sat on the spectrum, the practice started immediately. I wanted to be the thrasher, not the thrashed.
Right now I consider myself to be pretty good on a competitive level. I have sucked in as much info about the tech as I can, and I am still working on perfecting my skills before I begin competing. After All, I'm only 13 years old, and (obviously) don't have a way to travel about.
I hope to become an involved member of the community, as well as a fearsome competitor.
