Smash Rookie
Hello!
I'm Scott. Among my smash buddies I go by the tag "F". My mains include Fox and Marth in Melee, CF in Brawl, and Marth in PM. I started getting into competitive smash right after Evo 2k13 and have been amazed by the depth of competitive play. I started playing Melee and Brawl with friends who have been playing for years with the hopes of getting better and gaining a greater understanding of the deeper and more complex elements of competitive Smash. I've perused smashboards for some time trying to get information to improve my gameplay and it certainly has helped.
I have never attended an actual tournament though I plan on attending a few of the weeklies they have in my area (Chicagoland) this summer with a few friends, right after I secure funds for a real controller. I've been playing on these $12 controllers for the past year and it's getting to the point where practicing on them does more harm than good lolol.
If you're located near the New Lenox/Frankfort/Mokena ILLINOIS area and want to meet this summer to practice/teach me stuff/beat me down like the noob I am/etc. contact me and maybe we can meet to play some matches. I go to school in the DECATUR, IL area so if you're in that area and want to meet during the school year contact me. Me and a few other Millikin students are trying to start like a Millikin/Decatur smash community hosted on Millikin's campus and we could use the presence of high caliber players to generate hype and get things rolling.
Outside of Smash my passion is music education. I love teaching the magic of music to people of all ages. I play the violin (KDJ where you at? lol) and all variations of guitar (classical, acoustic, electric) in a professional capacity. I teach private instrument lessons as well.
Well that's me. I hope to get to know you guys better as I attend tournaments and hangout here on the boards!
