i am raycat howy. And this will be officially my first time in the smash community.
i do not know what lies beyond the gates of the smash community.
i dont know anyone that is popular and i do not know what makes them popular
i am simply a newcomer.
I have experienced smash online. But only on the hacking side of it i have been to brawlvault.
And have downloaded the best mods you can name.
Project m legacyxp.
And i sometimes come to this site to download melee mods.
Without the knowledge and reason the mods were made in the first place.
I am a beginner in the modding business.
I only know how to use wiiscrubber and brawlbox and dat texture editor.
In order to change movesets and textures and use custom stages.
Of melee and brawl.
I even make my own texture mods my profile pic is proof of that.
And im planning to expand my modding experience ive downloaded gecko codes for brawl mainly since i enjoy the game more then any installment of the franchise
But now i wish to know how to make gecko codes of my own.
So that i can make a mod everyone will enjoy.
When i said i just got here i literally mean it.
My first introduction to smash was melee. When i put that CD in i expected it to be a normal 2d fighting game like street fighter. With one goal in mind. Beat the player until the whole stamina runs out.
It gets old after a while for me.
So i expected smash to be like streetfighter.
But this game was different. All my favorite characters are here. Mario. Luigi. All of them.
The gameplay was unexpected as well.
The controls were so simple. Jump shield air dodge spot dodge side smash tilts specials

There were no lists for how to do combos. No tips to do secret moves no its all just a small moveset. And theres only one goal in mind.
Knock them off stage. Thats all you have to do.
But methods to do it is why i love this game its not a normal fighting game. Its completely something else. And since then i have been smashes biggest fan.
And i played it for hours and hours it became an addiction.
And when brawl was announced for wii i super hyped
But my excitement reached its peak when sonic was announced.
I literally begged my parents to get a wii.
Unfortunately i didn't get it. A year later my copy of melee broke. And for years i never got a chance to play smash. I never got a chance to play brawl.
And i thought there was no hope for me. I never got have special memories with brawl.
As of today im sad that i can never experience what its like to play brawl that day. Or played the wii with my friends. I missed that chance. And ill never get a chance like that again.
But it was a matter of time i discovered emulation.
The first time i experienced emulation was a simple app in google play
It was mega64 a n64 emulator.
At the time i didn't understand why it didn't work.
But 2 years later in 2015 i found out i have to download a rom.
So i did. And i got my chance to play smash again little did i know. Melee wasn't first installment. It was a sequel of a older game with the same name.
Super smash bros.
I was hooked into smash once again. It was only a matter time where i sparked the idea that gamecube roms existed then theres wii roms. And thats when i discovered dolphin emulator.
And ever since then i was able to enjoy melee again....and play brawl for the first time.
Brawl was best installment i have ever played. In my entire life.
The mechanics the graphics. Everything about brawl makes me so happy.
But theres one problem this is not a wii. This is my laptop.
Not only am i doing something illegal but the game suffers permanent lag because my laptop couldn't support it.
Im still cursed with this problem today.
TL;DR
im just a 16 year old moron trying to make a mod and help people with low end pcs and how to help their smash experience with dolphin.
I make memes i have a YouTube channel and well...i make mods.
