Hello people of the Smash community! I am Scarecrow, a veteran casual, a newbie competitor. I have been playing smash ever since Melee and really enjoyed the game. Recently in the past year however, me and my group of friends have been playing both Melee and Brawl and I got really into it. Of course, its very hard to play/practice by yourself so I only found time to get better with them. I never really went to a tournament because I was too young for that stuff but now I feel like I can actually join the competitive community. Especially with a revolutionary game like Smash 4, which will feature an MMR and also better internet capabilities. So I am very excited for this so I will be able to hone my skills along with others and really start competing. I'll let you guys know a little more about my Smash life before I leave though. As a casual player I usually just go with Ness or Captain Falcon. Ness because I really enjoyed Earthbound, and Captain Falcon because it feels great to land a good Falcon Punch. But I am very well aware these are both lower tier characters and I hope they get buffed in the upcoming game. As for my competitive character, I go with Marth. I play well with him, and I have also been a Fire Emblem fan for as long as I have been a Smash fan. Due to me enjoying Fire Emblem and due to the fairly recent character reveals, I really hope that Robin is going to be good competitively, as Lucina is just a clone of Marth with a balanced sword. One thing I really hope happens in this Smash is that the characters are not separated by such a big gap. I know that there may be small gaps in between the strengths of the characters and I know that there will be a tier list, I just feel that it would be great if you can use your favorite character and also be able to compete with them, and not having to use a different character so you will be able to win.
