I'm EonGenesis,

I enjoy all the SSB games, I am still a newbie on getting into competitive smashing.
However I enjoy it nether the less when learning. I play PM as well, I love the hell out of that game and will not ever be changing my main, Kirby on that.

I currently cannot wait to play SSB for Wii U and 3DS soon with all of you and getting into looking forward to play smash with everyone!!

P.S. I know this message I wrote was cheesy or not hardcore. I just don't wanna be a try hard when it comes to video games. No jerking around, no stupid drama, just good clean matches are fine with me. Thanks!

Welcome to Smashboards! I always like the dedication of seeing people maining the same character throughout all of the Smash games. My favorite Nintendo franchise is Fire Emblem, however, they didn't get introduced to Smash until Melee. My favorite FE character is Ike, but he didn't get introduced until Brawl. But from Melee forward, you can always count on my main being a FE character (though if Shulk is in Smash 4, I'll co-main him with an FE character because I looove Xenoblade).

And I didn't find your intro to be "cheesy" at all, and it definitely doesn't need to be hardcore. Simple introductions are fine as you'll still be welcomed into our community all the same : )

I'm not used to Ike, I'm more of a fast, stealth kind of player. Also I see what you mean, having your favorite mains in the original past games make it feel all the more better into the newest games.
When I played the SSB Wii U and 3DS demos I felt that Kirby was a bit too slow and figured of going with Greninja as my main on those games, I feel bad for leaving Kirby for the newest Smash. But I'll still play as him throughout the other games.

I highly doubt they'll change Kirby to move a little faster but I'll just have to see till the finished product.

I can switch up styles, but I will say that I'm typically better with decent speed - fast characters. But I have to use my favorite characters that I love from outside of Smash. Since the overall game speed is faster, here's to hoping that Ike will have a speed buff as well!

And really? Kirby felt slower? I've been seeing nothing but praise for him around the forums. Couldn't imagine that they nerfed his speed..

From what I've seen here, Kirby seems to be moving at his general speed, but I could easily be wrong since I'm not a Kirby user and haven't had the chance to play the demo for myself. But like you mentioned, they're still doing some polishing up, so maybe you can still be a Kirby main and just have Greninja as a secondary.

But like you mentioned, they're still doing some polishing up, so maybe you can still be a Kirby main and just have Greninja as a secondary.

Yeah, I'll have to see. I suppose I'm in the mindset at comparing it to PM since I was playing that a lot lately. Since it felt different with his Down-B stone attack.
But I played Greninja as well in the demos and he's great for using combos and I can learn easily on his moves.

For the most part, once I get used to both Wii U and 3DS versions after awhile maybe I'll be Kirby again for the main.
