Impact The Giddlyest
Smash Rookie
Hey all! As you can see to the left, I go by Crymsyn. I'm 20 years old (21 in September) and I'm a former competitive Pokemon Player in both VGC and TCG, hailing from the (Not so much) Garden state, New Jersey. I recently left those games and am going to enter both competitive Smash for Wii U and Pokken Tournament in the next couple of weeks.
I got the original Smash 64 shortly after release, and I remember playing it from the age of 4 all of the way through elementary school. I made my dad buy me Melee as soon as that came out as well, (well, I didn't quite make him. I just continually asked for about four hours non stop apparently, my mom used to tell me, until he told me to "shut up and he'll get the game if I would finally shut up"). I liked Melee, but it didn't feel the same to my young kid mind as 64 did, so while it was fun I didn't obsess over it.
Later on, when Brawl came out just before the summer after I got out of middle school, my brother and I went to Gamestop and spent some of our money from the holidays on Brawl. I really enjoyed the story mode, and realized that I really had only been playing Pikachu from the start of the series.
When I moved out of my parents' house a couple of years ago for college, I left my Wii with my younger siblings at home and haven't really played much Smash since then. I'm finally getting a Wii U this coming week, bought Smash 4 and Pokken, and got myself some Amiibos. I'm aiming to start practicing both games and getting myself back into the swing of things, and then move towards training myself to enter the local tournaments here in New Jersey (albeit I will probably end up getting thrashed by Nairo if I'm unfortunate enough to get paired with him xD)
I plan to play Pikachu, Greninja, and Marth as regular characters, though I'm not entirely sure on the Greninja choice just yet.
Whether you are new, or a veteran with Smash, I'd love to get to know some of you and find some good friends here who would like to practice and/or mess around in the game with me. I do stream and make YouTube videos for my gaming, but I am really small and likely won't have much content until I get this Wii U and TV in the mail this week and hook it up to my Elgato.
I don't have my Nintendo ID set up (I haven't decided if I will be using my 3DS one or not, I might make another to name it Crymsyn. I have a weird thing with usernames and in certain things I've changed often. )
If you play Pokken I am also down to play with new people. Also, if you have the handheld Pokemon games, feel free to leave me your 3DS friend code :D I'd leave mine but I don't know how many people play the 3DS version of Smash here and I'd like to not clutter the boards if no one is interested (Can't be angering the mod Gods in my first thread lmao).
Looking forward to meeting new people, going to events, and becoming the best Smash player I can be.
Any issues? SETTLE IT IN SMASH ;D
