Haxdashing Help

Hey, for a long time I've been trying to learn Falcon's invincible ledgestall. After getting 20XX and seeing my invincibility frames, I've noticed that even though I can do the waveland back to ledge that it's too slow. Now, my main problem is that I don't fastfall it correctly in my opinion. I understand what the desired inputs are for it, but I can't seem to get it down. Whenever I ask for guidance, it's usually "you need to let go of ledge earlier," but I want to make it clear that that is not the case. I want to know if any of you have any tips or tricks, or in general just how do you fastfall to get the perfect invincible ledgedash. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. generally I practice on the Ice Climbers target test stage, and my general inputs are (down to release ledge) -> (full input towards stage) -> (waveland back) -> (attempt fastfall)

Usually what happens is I 1. Don't fastfall and regrab ledge 2. Airdodge of stage and die and 3. Very rarely correctly input a fastfall but hold it for too long that I go past the ledge

Look up gifs of haxdashing. It needs a good rhythm and it is much easier with a stiffer stick, if you have a loose stick you won't do it very easily. Still you can try, but it requires near frame perfect movement.
It took me at least a week to get hdashing down on my right side, and at least two for the left. So keep trying and you'll get it.

Also, try using slow motion on training mode, and speed it up as you get more comfortable, be sure to look for the visual ques needed to do it properly.

It's not that important anyways, it's mostly just flash, but it's very situational. Generally, traditional ledgestalls are much better.

Be sure to practice wavelanding onto stage after hdashes too.

:)

Thanks. I'm just making an attempt to optimize my play, because doing so seems to be the best way to go as falcon. The haxdash also allows you to regain your double jump even if you aren't frame perfect and you get hit out of it, so it is more beneficial imo than his fastfall regrav ledgestall. Thank you though, I will definitely try doing it at half speed in training mode

Good luck, it's not particularly useful, so don't beat yourself up if you don't get it. I don't have it down consistently, and many top falcons don't even haxdash.

Ok so my inputs should be: (correct me if I'm wrong please)
1) Grab ledge
2) Ledgehop
3) WL back
4) Quickly hold in to curb aerial drift
Then repeat after I grab ledge again?
No.

1. Grab ledge
2. Ledgehop
3. WL back
4. Fast-fall to grab ledge

You don't have to curb the aerial drift if you fast-fall immediately after WLing off the stage. Holding in after the WL is not only more difficult, but it isn't as fast as fast-falling. If you want a truly invincible hax-dash you should not hold in.

Oh whoops, that's how I learned it, I don't really pay attention to hitboxes and frames a lot, but yeah, thanks for the correction.
It's also harder to FF onto ledge.

Honestly, don't focus on mastering Haxdashing. Focus on the fundamentals of Falcon before anything else. If anything, use Haxdashing as a mixup option. Savvy?
