So I've been trying to solve this out for a day now.
When I use CUPASH v1.0
step1 extracts fine, all the templates etc. are there.
I had a little trouble with step2, but somehow it worked out and it completed and created the CSP files.
Only big CSP, no small in battle CBPs this time. Although the last CSP set I used had some a couple battle portrait small from ChiboSempai's texture pack.
I have maybe 200+ CSPs that I created.
I take the 3 folders and I put it in the pf directory of the SD card, and I overwrote them, so ChiboSempai's CSP & CBPs do not mix in and cause problems.
Renamed common5_en.pac to common5.pac (I also used an original common5.pac although I hear it doesn't matter)
Load it up with the 3.5.1 DSDL Code.
So far I think I did everything right.
I try to go to the character select screen and it always freezes right there, usually with a beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
I thought CUPASH may have been buggy so...
Using Engima's CSPtools cupash-mod version.
I followed the directions given to me.
I used the common5_en.pac that was given me in the zip file.
Put in all the .brres files, but I put some from chibosempai's CBPs in there too.
Step1 Extract went ok.
Loaded all CSP AND CBP I had this time.
Instead of step2_extract going as I had planned, it stops at dedede's CSP/CBP and just quits. Some files in info and menu are made, no system folder made. All it says is that a .tpl file was made for all the characters it goes through, and then it just quits without trying to make all the files in the info and menu folder and no systems folder.
Edit:
It says something about mem found, total alloc: (random number) and it goes through like that.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong on EITHER (or both) of those accounts? I really want to get this working.
--edit--
Counted the files, there is 271 files. Perhaps that is too much for cupash? What if I did it step by step putting in a few CSPs at a time? Then use the newer common5_en.pac that is created to extract a template again? For CBPs, i can just collect them all and put them in the portrite folder yes?
