having trouble with SHDL

I'm having a bit of trouble doing short hop double laser with fox consistently. I notice my lasers aren't always coming out as fast as they possibly can so usually I only get one laser out of a short hop before landing. for now I'm just short hopping with the C button and mashing B to try and fire the laser, but is this something where you have to time the button press for the second shot or something else I might be missing? Thanks in advance.

You must fire THE LAZER while Fox is short-hopping.
Alot of people fail SHDL'ing because they wait for Fox to finish short-hopping then shoot.


After lightly tapping the C-button, press B twice real quick.


So theres 2 rules :

1. Short hop
2. While you're short hopping, double laser.

Button slide > mash button. That's what I do. But I never really shdl unless I'm camping which I usually do to players I don't really like

SHL > SHDL imo. Players don't seen it coming as much and turning around with it is too good.

I'm doing this but even when the laser comes out it's a lot slower than I've seen other players do it.

Whats so hard about this ****? It took me 2 days to master SHDL after I first saw someone doing it. Lawl thats also when I learned to short hop.

Why saying it's hard. Dash pivot, fast-falling z cancel, dash pivot edgehog descending up b or dash pivot edgehog taunt cancel are harder moves. I would love to see you perform them. But first you should need to master easier technical **** like SHDL.

There is a rythem, but you dont need it, personly i mash..but i also use R for Arieals and cancles haha i must suck :|
