Having trouble with Mupen on a CD

Ok, so I take a class in school that uses computers, but for about half the time I'm in the class I'm not doing anything so I thought it would be fun to play smash while I wasn't doing anything. The only thing is the school restricts privileges on the computer, so when I downloaded mupen I couldn't unzip it. So, I sorta gave up on it until I realized I could burn the program onto a CD (I don't have a USB flash drive thing, so don't suggest that) and just run mupen off of the CD.

Now here is were my problem is. I burned the program and all of it's stuff that goes with it onto a CD along with the smash ROM and I go to test it out on a computer that doesn't have mupen on it. I configured the input settings for the keyboard quick, but when I loaded the game and hit enter, the game froze and the error window came up. I know it doesn't have to do with the video plugin because the video is fine, and I set it to no sound. The input plugin I'm using is N-Rage's Direct Input8 1.61, but I also tried Jabo's Direct Input7 1.40 and the same thing happened. If anybody has any suggestions it would help me out a lot.

I was thinking of that. I'll just put both on and see what works at school.

The problem is that you're using the CD. CDs are non-rewritable, so when you configure your key settings, or load a ROM, which require writing the settings you've applied onto the disk, it will freeze, because the computer is trying to do something it can't do aka write new information onto the disk drive.

So unless you find a way to put the folder onto the computer itself, you're out of luck. On the other hand, flash drives are super cheap nowadays. You can get a 2GB one for like 99 cents now. Or just go to some conventions and get a free one.

Thanks for the advice. If all I have to do is move it into a folder on the computer's hard drive than it's no problem.

In response to the flash drive comment, I wanted to get the Iron Key flash drive off think geek, but saw it was like $80 so I decided not to get it in order to save money to get a Wii which I still haven't gotten...

Anyways, thanks again for the advice.
