Having trouble DI-ing out multihit moves

I just did a search for this and didn't find anything, at least under the criteria (surprisingly.)
Anyways, I have a lot of trouble DI-ing out of multi-hit moves like Pit's neutral A. It bothers me a lot that I can't because I'm just eating free damage, and when I play against anyone it's going to be detrimental. I've heard of people using the c-stick for DI and stuff, but I'm not really sure when it comes to how you should DI.

Thank you in advance c:

Just make sure you're DIing in one direction, not just randomly mashing your stick around. You should be able to get it after some practice.

Well what exactly do you do? Do you repeatedly tap the control stick (or c-stick?) in that direction?

I personally smash my control stick in the direction I want to go. I generally don't tap it. I have no clue if my method's good or not, though. There might be a much better method ._.

That's usually what I do too, but I still get stuck in those types of moves. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
