So im a greninja main, and i see a lot of good uses in mastering this tech. I can do it consistently going right to left, but idk maybe my muscles are to weak to do left to right, But anyway when i do the pivot right to left my character tends to keep facing the position i original did it from which is good, but when it comes to doing it left to right, he always forcible faces the other direct. What im trying to do is practice Pivot Dtilt towards my opponent to close the gap and chain into footstools, but it only seems to work properly when i'm Pivoting away. Anyway have a clue as how to fix this? or maybe i'm not using the correct inputs, any advice is appreciated.

I cannot pull off perfect pivots for the life of me, but I have found that with the HORI fight pad if you flick the stick hard it will auto perfect pivot, although it is hard (for me) to do consistently and I don't think this is a well known thing.

hmm, the frame perfect part of it definately makes it a issues, but it does so much for my main its a crime, not to attempt mastering it, ill probably look into the fight stick if i cant figure something out with it as sad as it is.

Sounds like a dead zone issue on your stick.

So when you flick sticks they flick back into neutral position. One issue with sensitive controllers (mostly found on new controllers) is that they will flick back so hard that it will pass neutral for a brief moment and register the opposite direction. Try this out: go into the menus where you can select the stock by pressing left or right. Flick the stick in the direction you want to test. Will it occasionally change the stock back to what it was before (IE register one direction and then the opposite)? If so, your dead zone is very small, more than likely too small, but this can change by constantly playing with your controller.

This is the main reason I can PP on my old controller way more consistently than my new controller, since using a controller eventually creates a larger dead zone as time goes on depending on how hard you punish it.

This could also be a reason why some players prefer their more used controllers as they are "broken in" so to speak. There's a difference between broken in and just broken though.

Thank youuuuu! Always wondered why I watched videos of people PPing and they never faced their original direction but when I did it my character would forcefully face the wrong direction even when I let go of the control stick after flicking it. Just got the cool white controller so I guess I have to break it in more. Once that is fixed I will take PP more seriously with regards to integrating it into my playstyle.

Thanks for the detailed explanation Roukiske, i feel i have a much better understanding of whats going on with my controller now considering it does feel very tight.
