I have no idea how that would work but I'm pretty sure it's cooler than the actual thing.

Nintendo is giving out "jackets" for Wii controllers to help soften the blow if they are dropped or thrown. They will be shipped with all new Wiimotes and Nintendo is offering free jackets for already-bought controllers.

EDIT: And Syroco, the website says they would begin shipping the jackets out October 15 (yesterday) so I highly doubt they've reached yet.

Umm yeah Wiimotes just don't break. My friend and I threw one across the street and it didn't shatter. Those things are just indestructible.

I think the point was more to protect the thing the wiimote is bashing into. Things like TVs, walls, other people, etc.
