General Information:
Developing a scene out of nothing is not a very easy task, we have most of the things that we absolutely need: a location, chairs, and tables but we are missing the most crucial part, setups, my partner and I have access to 5 complete setups but we need more for this to go smoothly, ideally 8-10 sets of wiis (softmodded is fine) or gamecubes. RSVPs are extremely appreciated as to help us gauge turnout.

Tournaments:
(1v1) Singles: double elimination

(2v2) Doubles: single elimination (only if time allows)

The tournament rules are as follows:

• 4 stocks, 8 minutes.
• Items are set to “off” and “none”
• All matches will start with a double blind pick.
• Wobbling is legal. Infinites must end at 300%, otherwise it becomes stalling.
• Stalling is banned.
• Coaching mid-match is banned.
• You cannot re-select a stage you have won on as a counterpick.
• You can switch controller ports on your counterpick only. Controller ports will be decided by players. If there is a conflict, a game of RPS should settle the dispute.
• Neutral Spawn Points: Players may elect to use neutral spawn points to decide controller ports for the first match in case of any disputes.
• If a player pauses in the middle of a game (unless by request of a TO), that player must lose his/her current stock.
• If the timer runs out, the winner is determined first by stock, then by percentage.

Counterpicks:

• Pokemon Stadium

Conduct:

• The venue is a library (hence the name "Hard Reads") so we ask that swearing be kept to a minimum and excessive shouting is prohibited.
• The tournament area is fairly close to an area where kids are allowed to play, please be courteous to them.
• There will be no smoking OR vaping in the tournament area.
• Cheating will not be tolerated – any sign of cheating will result in forfeit from the tournament.
• Fighting will result in ejection from the tournament area and a lifetime ban from future eSports events.
• purposeful breaking of equipment not under your possession will result in forfeit from the tournament and will require full repayment to the owner of said item.
  
• Absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the venue

Nearby food:

• There is a Popeyes, Brunettie's, and a Dollar General within walking distance of the venue and many more within a short drive.
• Leaving for food MUST be confirmed with either of the TOs as to make sure you do not drastically hinder the tourneys progress by leaving at an inopportune time.
