Hand Positioning and Technique Development Thread

Preface within the Doc:
A Long time ago when i was just doing tech skill practice. I noticed that almost everyone including me are pressing the buttons as fast as they can while still maintaining consistency. They however were not taking into consideration what part of their fingers they were using, spacing, and positioning beyond something like using a claw layout or normal. This got me thinking if there would be any noticeable gain from practicing tech from scratch, but with intentions on using more efficient hand/finger placement, greater consistency, and faster execution.

Google Doc: The doc contains all the details of what I come up with so far, as well as what to do to practice them.

I'm still in the process of practicing this myself so I cannot show any mastered results yet but I wanted to post this here to see if there is any interests on the topic beyond me or if anyone would like to provide what they like to do for their hand positioning that prevents finger/wrist pains. Or if anyone can realistically see any results from this who has been playing melee for years.

I was asking these questions when I first started playing. Everybody just said "do whatever you prefer".

I had this same idea, but I was never able to get any good at it. I tried doing dash dances without making any noise(tap tap tap), but couldn't do it and gave up.

I'm going to try this out again, it seems like a smart idea. :)

Edit : You are right. It doesn't tire your hands as fast. The only problem I have is that :GCCL: and :GCCR: hurts my thumb knuckle.

I streamed my current progress. I switch randomly through the stream from the way I can currently do tech, to what I'm trying to do now.

P.S. H HoDANG Don't use the acutal thumb knuckle try to position it more to the side and higher from it. No need to be that drastic.

Edit(Sept 29, 2016): https://www.twitch.tv/edg94/v/91996304 Day 3... I still can't keep em relaxed when going full tech mad but its much better than before. Hands feel nice and don't ache after 2+ hours of grinding. They actually have that nice feeling that I would usually get after aerobic exercise.
