Smash Wii U Hammered Challenges

When you hammer a challenge, if you hover on that challenge you will notice the hammer icon on the image preview (not if you click it to expand).

I'm curious if you hammer a challenge, and then decide later on you actually complete that challenge anyway, if that icon goes away? For example, I just want to clear the challenge board, so I hammer Clear All Star Hard with Everyone because lol no, but months from now I have a hankerin' to actually do that challenge anyway because why not, does the hammer mark-of-shame go away once completed?

Good question, but I don't think that the icon will be vanishing, as it's basically a sign to let you know that you used one of your five Golden Hammers.

I've been going back and forth on if it stays or not, but my reasoning for if it stays is basically what you just said.

Ultimately I'm just curious, given how absurd some of these challenges are; I have no shame in having used them.

Welp, can confirm that it doesn't go away. I hammered the Mario 20 turns in Crazy Orders, which was before I was aware of the homerun bat trick, and I've since employed that method and used to complete 35 turns, and sure enough the icon is still there.
