I've been a huge Half Life fan for about 7 years now. It all started when I downloaded the Half Life demo (called Uplink at the time) when I was bored on the internet. I was simply amazed at the enemy AI, the physics, the graphics, and the overall gameplay. The next day I went to EB Games and picked up Half Life and the Opposing Force expansion pack.

After messing around with the Half Life options, I noticed a "modification" section that peaked my interest. I loaded up the Team Fortress module and I couldn't believe what I was playing. It was my first online game, and it was bad ***. I played TFC non-stop for many years until I got bored with it and waited for Team Fortress 2 (LOL - best of E3 1999).

October 10th marks the end of my long wait for the sequel to Team Fortress Classic. I've waited a few years short of a decade for it's release, and I'm almost as pumped for this game as I am for Brawl. In addition to TF2, we also get to continue the story of the Half Life saga with the latest entry Half Life Episode 2. Will we finally find out the agenda of the G-man?

There's already a Half-Life 2 topic, elsewhere.

G-man's motives won't be fleshed out at all in this game and probably not even Episode 3. It's one of those things that the final game of the series will explain.

I heard that episode 2 will focus on the combine slug things. Plus, the G-man is so weird, I don't think even the writers of the game know his motives.

They stated in several reviews. Plus, to reveal his motive in the middle of the story when they whole series rests on it, is a bad idea. They know his motives and they hint at it often, but we won't know for sure until the very end, which is probably Half-Life 3.

Sorry for making another topic on Half Life 2. I did a search for Half Life 2 and I didn't get any results.

As for Half Life 3, aren't the new episodes supposed to take the place of Half Life 3? I thought that Valve wanted to release smaller episodes in place of Half Life 3 so we didn't have to wait so long for a completely new game. I have a feeling that Episode 3 is the last game in the saga. This would also mean that revealing the G-Man's motives in Episode 2 wouldn't be that far off. The last episode (episode 3) would have everything coming together and tie up the loose ends.
