Renegade TX2000
Smash Ace
So basically the game is between melee and brawl speed on how fast it will play <<<We've heard that from a source already...
Okay then after that basically the blocking mechanics will be between melee and smash 64.
Remember how in smash 64 if you block you were in trouble? basically if you block in the new smash you won't be able to come out of the attack or grab after BUT you can still roll or spot dodge still leaving you with last option defense! BUT IF YOU perfect shield you are able to do any attack right after!
They brought back the bubble light shield from melee that if you lightly hold your shield it appears bigger and able to prevent shield poking.
Hit stun was back to melee and they also brought back L canceling but no wave dash =(
grabbing the ledge multiple times wouldn't grant you more invincibility, the only invincibility you obtain is the first time you grab it until you land back on stage.
They brought back perfect shielding to reflect projectiles from melee. The difficulty to power shield is the same difficulty from smash bros brawl.
SO basically if your holding shield and not going for a perfect shield your committing to 100% defense. If you perfect shield you can commit to either continued blocking or out of shield attacks.
Also if you perfect shield and attack right after your next move will have super armor always. So multi hit attacks won't be OP and also bowser would be scary making him actually good.
Also dash dancing is back for ALL characters and all characters dash animation doesn't cause frame disadvantage "you can block immediately after dashing."
Pretty much all of melees Advanced techniques are coming back but wave dashing and chain throwing...
Throws in general in the new sm4sh was a blank memory and I recall people only using the throws after attacking a non perfect shield attack to take advantage of people having to spot dodge, or roll after shielding without power shielding. Throws were better for follow up potentials but didn't guarantee anything at HIGHER percents.
