hacked characters?

hi all! new to the boards here.. saw some stuff about hacked characters and id like to use them but im having trouble finding how to information to do this.

sorry if this is in the wrong room or if i missed a sticky with this type of information. any help would be appreciated!

All I know it that it requires hacks for the Wii firmware (which in turn require an SD card and a computer that can read it).

No, it doesn't require you to alter your firmware. But yes, you do need an SD card.
