I am the single most disconnected person from the music industry in the world. How disconnected am I? Let's just say that it wasn't until two years ago that I had even heard of the Beatles. The reason why is because most mainstream music sucks and that music have never really been my thing. And as such, the Guitar Hero games, although fun, are something I have never had in my collection. Most of the time the set list is just something I look at and say, "wut?" because I don't know anyone on the list. So I heard from a friend that they announced a new Guitar Hero, and I decided to check out the currently announced set list just for laughs. The following are my comments on the songs and bands in the list. Note that not all of the songs are listed, just the ones that I had a particular comment on.

Blue Oyster Cult - Godzilla

I've heard of some pretty funky cults before, but one that worships Blue Oysters?

Boston - More than a Feeling

Hey, a song that I actually know! Maybe that whole "world ending in 2012" thing isn't too far fetched after all...

Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water

That totally isn't a drug reference, yep. Not at all.

The Donnas - Take it Off

I'll keep it on, thank you.

Kansas - Carry on Wayward Son

Holy crap there's another one that I know! It really is the end of the world!

Lamb of God - Laid to Rest

So if they bring back the mic from World Tour that means that I can just scream "BLAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Into a mic for about two minuets straight, right?

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

End of the world, it's coming.

Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name

What did the Machine ever do to you, huh?

Short list of things that I had an interesting comment on. I guess this is what I get for not giving to ****s about music.
