GUESS number of chars and stages in brawl

after Yukiwarashi excellent prediction of Red being in brawl I wonder what the total playable character count it will be. Some people say 40+ some people think it will have approximately the same as melee with new characters replacing pichu and what ever other low tier chars they hate. Some feel all clones will be taken out. and I know some would prefer only having marth and fox on final destination

I propose a fun thread of guess the number of characters and stages in Brawl along with a short explination for your choice. then when the game comes out the winner can be immortalized while all the haters back pedal *cough* DainBramaged *cough*

so name your prediction for final number of PC's (this means # at playe select screen PT is 1 character zelda shiek is one) and number of multiplayer stages selectable in a normal match. please be specific no "40+" type answers. also please include your answer in a convient format at the bottom so I don't have to search posts looking for 2 numbers the closest poster will get a prize from me come december


my guess is 41 characters as that's melee's 26 +about 20 new characters minus a few clones (Sorry pichu) although I still have a feeling some clones will be in it.

I also guess hmm lets say 50 as that's the same ratio of stages in melee if there were 41 characters

Just to throw a few numbers out there I'm going to say like 33 characters, since I doubt there will be as many as 40 (but please God PLEASE let me be wrong ) For stages maybe something in the upper 20s like 27 or so.
