Guaranteed Flare Blitz?

I found out Flare Blitz is more or less guaranteed during things like Villager's tree when he's planting or hitting it with his axe. While he's doing either of these, he's stuck in his animation and the explosion of the move hits to the other of the tree, at least while it's standing. I'm not sure if the super armor can get through the tree while it's falling, though.

Using Flare Blitz while Pac Man is hitting the fire hydrant works, too, maybe even better since the armor can get through the hydrant even if it's flying.

Are there any other scenarios like this?

there's the usual unblockable blitz when they're a millimeter off the ground
shorthop blitz is unblockable against a flamethrower not angled upwards
fully charged senbon needles but blitz won't be used in the MU anyway lol

I feel that jumping blitz is way better than grounded blitz, anyone feel similar?

Short-hopped Flare Blitz is tricky. I find it works great against tall characters, and if you're smart with your predictions, you can catch a small character's short-hop. But in the end, it's very situational, not to mention that a hopped Flare Blitz sometimes goes over short character's heads. Sucks when that happens.

Missing an air blitz and falling offstage is better than hitting a shield, right?
I don't play against people with good anti-edge or whatever so

Just played against a Lucina and it seemed like Flare Blitz on Shield Breaker seems pretty safe....

Flare Blitz should only be used when characters are in the middle of their start lag or end lag and they're too far away for other attacks to punish. It also good when characters jump and are just about to touch the ground again, since there's some lag to that too. So Flare Blitz can pretty much hit anyone during a laggy attack and they wouldn't be able to do anything about it, and it's somewhat noticeable when done against projectile heavy characters like Toon Link or Samus.

Not sure how well this works but I've had several situations like this.

Upon missed tech by your opponent and they are on the ground, quickly position Zard at about opponent rolling distance and prepare to react. As soon as they to do anything, Blitz.

This should cover their roll towards you, a get up attack, rolling away, and standard get-up. Completely guaranteed. This might be character dependent though. I would like to see someone make a full analysis of the entire roster of which would work for this set up

It'll cover everything except roll towards (if they time it just right) depending on how far away you are at the time you use Flare Blitz. It hits them if they don't choose a getup option as well so I think you're usually best off using Flare Blitz as soon as you see them miss their tech. Why do you think it would be character dependent? The cast's roll distances aren't all that different.

I thought the characters had slightly different rolls; some quicker, some covering more distance. Sometimes little difference can make a huge difference for punishes due to how strict frame data could be sometime, but I could be wrong. As I said I've only had several situations like that so I couldn't fully confirm.
