Smash 3DS Grinding For Dog Ears makes me crazy...

Hi Everyone !

I read many post here, specialy on 3DS version about grinding Hats !
Just loosing hope of finding my last one : dog ears.....
I used more than 300k gold in trophy rush (imo more than 400k), Got more than 3k collectibles, got every other things in the game !
This is my last challenge, this damn hat of sh**t, and my last trophy will come from this !!!
And of course, It is the most horrible hat skin that nobody will use it xD

I've read that many got it with DK on trophy rush, but seems it doesn't want to pop for me....
When i don't play, I afk with smash tour (dunno the english name but it's the turn by turn mode), sometimes pushing a button for bomb/homerun, and i get some hats sometimes, but not the good one ! If I have to go more than 30minutes, i Use 2 amiibo in a 99min game, and get some hats too, but still not the good one !!!

The last thing I was thinking, was to find someone near where I live, and who got many times this one, and to give him my amibo till he got it, and then, I get amiibo's gift on my own wii U !!! And I can do it for the one he is missing !!!
if there is someone from France here, tell me

Anyway, if u have any idea of how getting my last one, it could be really great !
When I think about challenges, honnestly, using hammer is useless, because you'll have to use so many time to finish those remaining ! Finishing intensity 7.0 is maybe boring, but could be faster than damn hats....

I only really play the 3ds version but it took me FOREVER to get all the hats on it! And now I need to get them all on the Wii U!!!

Honnestly, I think the best way to finish it on SSB4U, is the amiibo gift trade between people who are not dropping the same hats on their own wii U !

On the Wii U version I'm missing about 5 hats

But on these forums I'd have to say most people are from the U.S. But there are people from all around the world here!

I got the Dog Ears as a prize in Classic mode on 7.0 in the 3DS version, once. I ended up losing at one point, and the prize I lost for continuing was the Dog Ears... That was weeks ago. Haven't seen them since.

Which caractere were you playing ? DK or Greninja as everyone who get dog ears I presume !?

On the 3ds version, dog ears was my last hat, and I found it after more than a week of desperate grinding/farming (classic lv9 with Kirby).
On the WiiU version I found them a couple of times, in trophy rush and in crazy orders. I'm still missing the Princess' wig/crown and the frog hat on WiiU.
to find those hats, you just need to play over and over. It's frustrating, but that's it.

Really?!? I tried afking a couple of times in Smash Run yesterday, but I got very few and bad prizes, no hats offcourse; I don't have plans of getting any amiibo, I already spent too much moneys on this Smash, so I'll pass on this
I will try afking a bit more in the next days.

But I really hope to find someone who got some amiibos, and who allready have unlock this hat !!!!

About Amiibo, I just bought Samus and Link, my 2 favorite caracters (without speaking of smash bros), I played every zelda and metroïd, so it was cool to get 2 of them

FINALLY I GOT IT !!!!!

Was a damn hell !!!

Just for information, i get it in smash tour !
Maybe 55h of afk in this
after :
2997 custom parts (was thinking it was blocked at 2996, didn't go up during a long time, but now i got +1)
more than 75h of 2 amiibo fight 1vs1
450k goldus spent in trophy rush !!
edit : i forgot to say, i used 45+ tickets of crazy hands

And damn yes, I got my last trophy : majora's mask, and my last challenge is done

Best solution to get the last hat, is to afk with amiibo if you have to go more than 1h40. And go afk in smashTour if you can check the wii U pad sometimes (for the homerun smash or smash bomb) !!!

Goodluck for those who wanna get all hats !

I got them all as well. I got the last one (frog hat) with Cpt Falcon (modified) in Crazy Orders. I was around level 15/16, can't remember. I won against Master and Crazy hand with something like 20 hp, I risked to lose it.
The Princess Crown was in Crazy orders as well, but I found it at level 11 and it was a lot easier to defeat Crazy Hand.
