Once again, hello! I recently picked up a WiiU because I'll be moving into an apartment with friends, I'll be a sophomore in college this fall, and figured that Nintendo would cater to group gaming the best these days. After obtaining the console I remembered the fun that I had playing Smash Bros Brawl back in like junior high on the original Wii so I ran out to buy the new Sm4sh that just released and felt instant nostalgia as I booted up the game.
After shuffling around this summer and finally getting settled on with my living arrangement, I am now able to play online. After trying "For Fun" mode or whatever the proper name is, I got very annoyed with the amount of lag and all the items falling across the stage. This is where I transitioned to "For Glory!". I don't think that it needs to be said that I was the one giving glory and not receiving. After coming from Brawl causally years ago using the Wii/chuck combo to playing Sm4sh with the pro controller I find that I'm still trying to get my bearings on the everything and perfecting the control scheme that works best for me. I also discovered the ridiculousness that is choosing Mewtwo as your main is and how his weight makes the least amount of sense possible in all of the universe for anything (it really feels that bad right now).
After getting fed up with having a 15% win rate over the course of 80 some odd games I tried watching some videos and kept hearing the name "Smashboards" come up in near every video. That led me here: a place full of abundant guides, tips, tricks, and (what seems to be mostly) friendly people! I hope to be an active member here and would love to get to know and play with y'all online sometime.
Other than Sm4sh, I'm generally a PC gamer at heart and have most modern games at my disposal so message me on if you'd rather connect in that way.
---TL;DR---
I recently purchased a WiiU and Sm4sh, tried playing online only to find out I'm new and need practice, found smashboards, love smashboards so far and am introducing myself here!
