great item idea

how cool would it be if there was an item in brawl that cause a random eternal darkness "glitch" to happen for a short time? (5-10 seconds) for those of you who havent played the game, there are really freaky things that happen when your character gets scared and loses sanity. in brawl, togepi's screen darkening can be replaced with the blue screen of death and the game can mess with your TV's volume. i think it would be great for a few laughs. tell me what you think

...Well... Its impossible for any system to effect your TVs volume seeing as its not directly part of it. The most it can do it change its (the games) own volume. As for the blue screen of death..um.. My TV isnt running on Windows? lol

for the volume thing, yeah thats what i meant. and the blue screen of death was actually in eternal darkness. i was just using it as an example. unless you've played the game, you probably wouldnt know what im talking about

Yea I hope at least the main character is in the game, and I haven't even played it. He would be a welcome addition.

The sanity stuff sounds dope.

actually the main character is a "she." and to be blunt, the game has multiple characters to play as, so there really isn't just one main character.

and there is no way the main character could get in. the game didn't do that well (as do many of today's best games) and it was REALLY dark. i can't see it but it would be cool to have sanity effects in the game

He probably meant Pious Augustus by the main character, seeing as he IS the only character that persists throughout the timeline. But, I think the main character is obviously Alexandra Roivas. It's a cult classic game which only came out on gamecube, but still... didn't sell enough due to poor advertising.
I think the idea is cool, though obviously unlikely. Here is a list of the sanity effects.

You'll notice that most of those sanity effects aren't exactly Smash Bros material, unless they start liking the whole "Whoops, I decapitated myself bloodily" kind of humor. Also, many of the really cool sanity effects are to the effect of something crazy happening that couldn't happen in normal gameplay, and then things going back in time... which would just disrupt game speed.

So, in short, cool idea. Impractical and unlikely, though.
But, for the sake of tossing random, never-going-to-happen ideas around... what item would be used to initiate effects? A zombie head? If a redead pops up and attacks someone? The higher damage percentage the higher chance of an occurence?
