I noticed that whenever you use a multi-hit move such as Fox's fair or Yoshi's bair, the opponent will follow you. If any of the hits connect while fast falling, the opponent will match your fast fall speed. You can use this to spike an opponent off the edge for an untechable meteor or onstage for follow ups such as lock combos or resets.

It's been known for a while now. Can't remember the guy's name, but he called it a sling spike.
