Hey guys. So I've been playing Fox for almost 6 months now and I'm really enjoying it. However, I seem to have one main problem. I grab way too much in neutral. I know Fox has a lot of options in the neutral game but I seem to use grab the most. I know nair is a good choice in neutral but could someone help me with some other options? Thanks!

What makes you think you're doing it too much? Do you think you're losing chances for better damage? Are you getting hit for using it a lot, or missing with it alot? If so, JC usmash is the same frame as JC grab but with longer range (however, grab beats shield so we'll call it equal), and works better against, an opponent already in the air. If you find if you find yourself trying to grab and it whiffing as you hit, run up shield (and even shield grab) might actually help. Nair is good, but vulnerable to CC. Dair is good, but vulnerable to SDI and not particularly good on shield. If none of the options above seem like they'd connect but you want to hit the opponent, just wait a little, or poke them with ftilt. Run up shine and run up jab are extremely fast and low commitment. The former requires you to be very close, and the latter is vulnerable to CC.
