Hey i was just messing around with fox and I would sometimes (on accident) grab immediately after doing a shine. It wasnt a shine > wavedash > grab, it was just a shine cancel and grab right away. I also dont know how i did it or if people have already been doing this, I dont really play fox, but i thought that for campy players this would be perfect. If their shield was up you could shffl and attack, shine and then just grab them to uair or watever. The grab seemed to be quick enough to the point where the stun on their shield from the shine would definitely prevent the other player from grabbing you bac k or even rolling awayso whenever i did it it was a free grab for me. Once again, I dont know how I did this, but I was wondering if any one else can explain it or figure out how to do it. Or maybe its old news and not that good of a technique, in any case, plz lemme kno!

Old news indeed. Its a very good technique. You jump-canceled grab out of your shield. You kno how to jump-cancel grab right? (Y+Z, Jump then immediatly grab) Well you did that out of your shine. Since you can jump out of your shine, u can also jump cancel out of yur shine. Very usefull vs. the shielders if you think Fox Pillar wont do t3h job. Lol, good find, =D

It is old news, but it's not a horrible technique. what you're doing is a normal jc grab out of the shine. since the shine can be cancelled by a jump, and a grab can be jc'ed, you can jc a grab directly out of a shine. Fox's shine puts enough lag on their shield to prevent a shield grab, but other means of escape are still possible. it isn't something that you want to always use, since it is escapable, but is good to use sometimes (I just always forget to use it).

EDIT: ****, you beat me to it.

As Scotu and LaserBust said, it's really useful against people who shield a lot. Just when they think they could get a shield grab in, you grab them instead. But yeah, that technique has been known for a while.

I'll be going there for my second year, i was at Bursley last year, and i'll be at bursley again. supprised you haven't been to my room if you're into smash, lived at bursley, and were there last year... whatever. (my room is kinda the smash central on campus). Randizzle will be living in south quad next year, but you're welcome to come to my room (schedule Dependant.... but since i don't have class on friday next semester...)

Edit: do you main a strong CF? our crew really needs a good CF main. just for the sake of having the intro segment of our next vid. I had such a great idea involving the knee and electricity.
