grab glitch

i did not see a thread on this yet, if there already is one, please tell me


I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this glitch(at least im pretty sure it is

me and 2 of my friends where having a match, and me and my one friend decided to team up on the other for fun. I grabbed him, and my friend, who was playing as fox, started doing his continuous kick to him. He tried to get out, but he couldnt, he was stuck there mashing the remote, while i was laughing my *** off. this went on for like 5 minutes, until he hit my friends remote out of his hands, so he stopped kicking.

It didnt accumulate damage very fast, but since it went on forever, and was impossible to get out of, we got him up to a very high percent. If anyone has seen this before, or knows of it, i would like if you told me. I assume this is illegal in tournaments, if not, that would be really cheap

no, this is a known tactic. ive seen a video before of tournament level 2v2 teams where they have done that, the one in particular im thinking of was isai + silentspectre vs hugs and someone else that i forgot, but yeah, its known...

it's not illegal
and it's not cheap - it's hard to pull off, especially with friendly fire on

anyways it's a relatively known fact that as long as someone else is hitting you, you can't escape from a grab.
