Good way to practice Combos?

I'm at the point where I have the ability to take games off of people better than me, but my weakest area right now is combos. For example, I've read that a punish on Marth should result in death. I am not good enough to do that yet. Computers don't seem very good to practice against, but training mode doesn't have the DI... How should I practice?

Playing people (if you can)

because at tournaments you play people

people di unpredictably , cant follow instructions as well as computers and dont play a set ordered style(unless it seems like it lol), play with emotions(which affect mindset)

experiment in friendlies and play higher level people

Playing alone

Also, the 20XX hack pack is good for practicing combos, the cpu DIs, and techs (all options including get up attack or missed tech + roll) randomly and jumps out/air dodges asap to get out of combos if it can, which is much better than regular cpu.

I personally used this tutorial to install the 20XX hack pack:
http://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/26pw3q/tutorial_usb_loading_20xx_melee_hack_pack_on_wii/

You'll need an usb that has more then 2GB (2GB usb drive can't be formatted in the way it needs to be done for 20XX hack pack to work). I also strongly advice to watch all beanwolf's tutorials if you wish to install the 20XX hack pack on your wii (you need to hack your wii first).
