Good PC Smash controller?

I've been using this controller for years:

It's actually pretty terrific, good buttons, durability, ect. But it's hard to short hop, and do other precision movements that only smash requires. I'm just curious, what controllers do you use for smash?

Lol i went through 2 (their joysticks started glitching out and doing phantom movement no matter what I did), before i said "**** it" and just used a ps2 controller, even though its joystick is garbage for smash.

I use a N64 controller, though some of my friends recommend Xbox 360 controllers.

i use a n64 controller with my hand left for the joystick and the number pad on the keyboard with my right hand for the majority of the buttons

I have this hooked up to my comp for the z button

I use my left foot

I like using a PS3 controller, it's hard to get used to short hopping with L1 but I mastered it xD. Only thing is I use a D-Pad so I can't do those precision movements for smash

Clearly the N64 controller is the best and most authentic for smash 64. But you'll need to invest in an adapter for it.
