Good created stages for Sonic?

My friend built a stage that's perfect for his main, Snake, so I've decided to try and counter with my own stage. So from experience, Sonic works best with stages that have a low ceiling so he can pursue with Up+B and smash people off screen...anything else? I assume a long, flat surface so he can put his speed to good use, and I guess ledges without an extra edge that might screw up Up+B recoveries are good too.

So I need pointers on a good created stage that will help Sonic, both offensively and defensively.
