Golf: Wind unfair? My friend says so.

Ok, my friend and I hit our local par 3 to play some golf.
We get to up about the fifth hole, and he starts complaining his *** off about how "Wind is unfair, it messes with the trajectory of a shot. It should be about who can hit the ball onto the green, randomness like the wind makes it uneven."
I tell him I have to deal with it too, and he starts claiming that the wind is only messing up HIS shots, and not mine, and he storms off the course cursing.
Is the wind really that unfair? I mean everyone has to deal with it, even the pros.
Shouldn't it be more of a show of skill if you can play well even while dealing with wind?

You really answered your own question, here. Obviously there is no way that the wind stops and starts depending on whether you're up to the tee or not. Some people complain about outside forces just because they're frustrated with their game; the question is whether or not he does this with everything... I don't think I could keep a friend who blamed the toaster for burning his eggos and not mine.

Learn to adapt or shove off.

Or build an entire golf course indoors.

I don't see how the wind would be attributed as "random" anyway, unless it keeps changing directions or something.

tell your friend to qq more.

i dont really play golf, but i'm pretty sure one has to adjust his/her shot to compensate for wind. like gunbound.
That's exactly what golfers must do. You have to adjust your shot depending on the wind's strength and direction.
