Golden Hammer from...Paper Mario?

My brother looked at the update yesterday and said the hammer was from Paper Mario. I don't think it is, but there was a hammer in paper mario that was yellow and red. Do you think the Golden Hammer was modeled after that hammer?

if it was from paper mario it'd be called ULTRA hammer instead of GOLDEN hammer. they are two different hammers.

but i swear to god that it was in Donkey Kong '94 as well. the shape is identical.
