Melee Going to my first out of state tournament

i will be going to Tampa never sleeps 6 in Florida. im from Texas and this will be my first time traveling so i was wondering if anyone has any tips for me or if you can share your own stories.

my plan for next year is to start traveling to most of the larger tournaments. maybe 1 every 2 months however it works out. i already missed out on genesis. there are a couple locals here in Texas i can go to as well but i want to get really good at this game so i also want to play the best talent in the country. i would like to know what tournaments i should really plan for making next year and other general info like getting housing or meeting up with people

Going to a tourney out of state can make one nervous, but all you need to do is probably have someone to support you or provide a friendly face. Probably have a close friend or family member travel with you.

And once you get there, I'd say don't get pressured to completely be perfect. Play as you normally would.
